Best ever financial year of Tark & Co

2005 turnover of Tark & Co was EEK 34.2 million (EUR 2.2 million), 28.9% up compared to the result of 2004.

In June, a former board member of the Estonian Financial Supervision Authority Kilvar Kessler joined Tark & Co team. Kessler, an expert in the field of finance and corporate law, is back from the U.S. now after a successful year of studies at Boston University and professional affiliation with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission.
"Kilvar's legal expertise and skills equip our clients with the confidence needed to find the right direction also in paths yet to be trodden in Estonia. We use Kilvar's international experience in developing the organisation and services of Tark & Co," head of the law office Aare Tark commented.

Kilvar Kessler has studied law at Georgetown University and at the University of Tartu. As a board member of the Estonian Financial Supervision Authority, he was responsible for the legal environment in general and securities market supervision. Before that, Kessler practised for years as an attorney at Tark & Co, providing legal advice on mergers of banks and acquisitions of publicly traded companies, helping arrange IPOs, and taking part in legislative drafting. Kilvar Kessler is a member of the Council of Arbitral Tribunal of Tallinn Stock Exchange and gives lectures on securities law at the Institute of Law, University of Tartu.

Tark & Co, which specialises in assisting corporate clients, is one of Estonia's oldest and largest law firms.
