Seminar “Changes in Law of Obligations – New Consumer Credit and Debt Collection Rules” in Estonia

Conference organiser Tallinna Konverentsid in cooperation with law firm Tark Grunte Sutkiene held a seminar titled “Changes in the Law of Obligations – New Consumer Credit and Debt Collection Rules” on 19 January.

Partner Hannes Vallikivi and associate Olger Kaelep spoke about changes brought about by the transposition of the new Consumer Credit Directive.

Senior associate Andres Siigur made a presentation on the effects of the Act on Debt Restructuring and Debt Protection, pointing out the factors that creditors granting credit to consumers must take into account in the future.

Associate Mihkel Kolk spoke on regulatory requirements relating to the prevention of money laundering and terrorist financing and international sanctions.
