Seminar “How to Interpret Debt Protection Act?”

A seminar “How to Interpret the Debt Protection Act?”, jointly organised by daily financial newspaper Äripäev (Bonnier Group) and law firm TARK GRUNTE SUTKIENE, was held on 10 February.

Partner Hannes Vallikivi spoke on the latest developments in the area of consumer credit.
Senior associates Andres Siigur and Eva Mägi covered various aspects of debt restructuring. Mr Siigur spoke in detail about whose and what kind of debts could be restructured, what principles should be complied with in restructuring, and what the consequences of debt restructuring would be. Ms Mägi spoke about the commencement and course of a debt restructuring procedure and about the adoption and amendment of a restructuring plan.
