11.10.2008

The new 2009 issue of IFLR 1000, the guide to the world’s legal markets, has ranked Tark & Co in the highest tier.

The 2009 edition of IFRL 1000 issue introduces rankings for the Estonian law firms offering advice on financial and corporate law, recommending Tark & Co in Tier 1. IFLR 1000 notes about Tark & Co's partners: Hannes Vallikivi is widely regarded as one of the leading lights in Estonia's market for financial law. Risto Vahimets has been characterised as an essential part of the firm's M&A team, who has pleased quite a many clients on transactions.

The guide acclaims that Tark & Co's technical abilities in finance have put the firm at the forefront of financial regulatory work. A special mention has been given to some major transactions advised by the lawyers of Tark & Co, with the first cross-border merger in Estonia among them.

It is a great pleasure to note that the other TLS Alliance partner law firms have been ranked just as high. Loze, Grunte & Cers and Sutkiene of Latvia and Pilkauskas & Partners of Lithuania have been both ranked in Tier 2 of firms offering advice on financial and corporate law. The Lithuanian law firms have also been ranked in the category of mergers and acquisitions, where Sutkiene, Pilkauskas & Partners have been also recommended in Tier 2. Our Belorussian partner law firm, Vlasova, Mikhel & Partners, has been recommended as a Tier 1 law firm offering advice on financial and corporate law.

IFLR 1000 is a member of the Legal Media Group and serves as a guide to the world's leading financial law firms, which every year introduces new rankings for the local and international law firms specialising in international commercial law.
