TARK GRUNTE SUTKIENE advised MicroLink on the sale of the information management business to Webmedia

On 5 January 2011 Estonia’s largest regular IT service provider MicroLink Eesti sold their information management department to Webmedia, the largest software development company in Estonia.

The information management department focuses on development, implementation and sales of information management services (Open Text, Postipoiss), offers various identification and storage services, and provides training courses and consultations related to information management.

MicroLink is the largest provider of regular IT services in Estonia. Over 50% of its revenue is generated by regular maintenance of IT systems. MicroLink designs IT systems, offers hosting and administration services of IT systems, and general training and consultations related to computers. The company employs 200 specialists. MicroLink is part of Telia Sonera group.

Webmedia is the largest software development company in Estonia. The company offers specialized software development services to clients in public as well as private sector. Webmedia is part of Webmedia Group, which operates in European, African and Middle-Eastern markets, employing over 350 specialists in total. In 2008 and 2009, AS Webmedia Group was among 30 fastest growing companies in Central and Eastern Europe, and 500 fastest growing technology companies in the EMEA region.
