Grunte & Cers team organises and participates in M&A Student Camp 2010 in Vilnius

Since 2008 TLS Alliance together with the largest Nordic law firms holds Student Camps in the Baltic and Nordic countries on the topical issues in relation to mergers and acquisitions (M&A). This year the annual Student Camp took place in Vilnius, and it was dedicated to transactions with enterprises in financial distress.
Senior associates Andra Rubene and Inese Hazenfusa of law firm Grunte & Cers gave a presentation on issues relevant to unsecured creditors in distressed context.
Partner of law firm Hannes Snellman, Rabbe Sittnikow, with a presentation „M&A market in 2010” and associate Johannes Ahti with a presentation „Priorities and practices of the banks in distressed projects; status of unsecured creditors” also spoke at the Student Camp. Marius Matonis, partner of law firm Sutkiene, Pilkauskas & Partners, presented his view about „Changes and new demands in legal market resulting from economic downturn” and appraised „What shareholders and management have to consider in distressed projects?” Risto Vahimets, partner of law firm Tark & Co, offered possible methods of structuring of distressed transactions.
Associates of Grunte & Cers Andis Paunins and Nauris Grigals also participated in the Student Camp.
